Project Description

For the supply of the Šoštanj Thermal Power Plant (TEŠ) a 70 bar transmission gas pipeline with pipe diameter DN 400 was executed. The gas pipeline route runs from the junction of the M2 gas pipeline to the TEŠ measuring and regulating station located in the immediate vicinity of the thermal power plant. The pipeline also has executed junctions for providing supply to the Municipality of Braslovče and Municipality of Šmartno ob Paki and industrial consumer Gorenje Notranja oprema in Gorenje. Within the scope of constructing the gas pipeline, a block valve was installed together with two industrial measuring and regulating stations MRP TEŠ and MRP Gorenje Notranja oprema. Also, a branch DN 100 was constructed to supply MRP Notranja oprema in the length of 230m. Sub-surface drilling of the Paka River and Savinja River was also executed as per the HDD method. Other sub-surface drilling was executed according to the method of direct installation of gas pipes without protection tubes. Within the scope of executing gas pipeline, we were responsible for supplying all the material required for constructing the gas pipeline and execution of MRP TEŠ and Gorenje Notranja oprema and coordination of mechanical and assembly works with construction work. After the completion of work, the company arranged gas discharging and commissioning the executed gas pipeline. All works were executed by a group of engineers and technicians who provided smooth operation and quality of executed works. During the most intensive works, over 95 installers and certificated welders trained for respective works were engaged at the pipeline site.
