The EPIQ method

From the first concept to operation, without interruption

Welder at work in our manufacturing facility

We deliver projects in a single flow, from design through to commissioning and qualification.

In project delivery, problems arise at the transitions between phases. Every transition is a handover, and every handover passes responsibility to someone who did not carry out the earlier phases. That is where changes, corrections and delays appear.

The EPIQ approach brings design, manufacturing, installation and qualification under a single point of technical responsibility. Every phase is planned with the next one in mind: design accounts for how the system will be installed, and manufacturing knows exactly what the finished unit requires in transport. What is usually discovered on site, we resolve in the model.

Engineering

We come in at the concept or basic engineering stage, or take over designs that are already developed, even when the project basis is incomplete. Because we understand how complex industrial systems work, from processes and utilities to energy and infrastructure, we identify gaps and risks that would otherwise go unnoticed until execution.

We act as the client's engineering partner: a single point of contact, short lines of communication, fast response. Our design engineers understand execution, so installation challenges are resolved in the design, before work starts in the workshop or on site.

We cover conceptual design, process and functional diagrams and detailed design documentation, as well as 3D and BIM modelling where needed. We adapt the scope to the project, from tender documentation to complete detailed design.

What we design, we build. And qualify.

Production

Manual welding in our manufacturing facility in Naklo

Systems are built in our own facilities, moving as much work as possible into a controlled environment. We design for transport, installation and commissioning from the start, which significantly reduces on-site risk.

We manufacture prefabricated piping modules, skids, containerised units and complete systems, as well as smaller items such as valve and piping assemblies, manifolds and collection vessels. Everything is factory-tested before dispatch. A higher degree of prefabrication means shorter on-site execution and more reliable installation.

Manufacturing takes place at three locations with more than 9,000 m² of dedicated capacity. We control quality from incoming material inspection to final testing, with full material traceability to EN 10204 (type 3.1).

Every product leaves our facility tested, documented and ready for integration.

I

Installation

Gas pipeline welding on site

Our own crews carry out installation, from fitting prefabricated assemblies to building complete piping systems directly on site.

We install in new facilities, where we build the system from the ground up, and in existing plants, where we work during operation or planned shutdowns. In both cases, discipline, careful preparation and coordination of everyone involved are key.

Our crews are trained to work in demanding environments, from cleanrooms and Ex zones to industrial plants and field locations. We weld to ISO 3834-2 and, where the project requires it, to hygienic welding standards (ASME BPE, AWS D18.2).

Installation concludes with commissioning and site acceptance testing. We hand over the system with complete documentation and full traceability, ready for operation or for entry into qualification.

Q

Qualification

For us, a project is not complete until the system is fully ready for operation.

Documentation and traceability are produced alongside execution, not after it: from material selection and welding procedure qualification to final testing. So at handover, there is no chasing of missing documents.

Before handover, we carry out pressure tests, leak tests, functional tests and commissioning. The system is handed over with a complete turnover documentation package.

In the pharmaceutical industry, we perform IQ and OQ ourselves when they are part of our scope; for systems qualified as part of your facility, we support DQ, IQ and OQ and take part in PQ. In energy and infrastructure, we hand over the system in line with applicable standards, technical conditions and operator requirements.

Advantages

All four phases in one company

EPIQ defines the scope of our responsibility within a project. Whether it is a single process skid, a boiler house or a section of gas pipeline, we design the system ourselves, model it in 3D, fabricate, assemble, install, test and hand it over into operation, and qualify it where that is part of our scope. What we take on, we take on in full.

Fewer errors

Because our design engineers understand execution, we resolve potential issues in the design phase, not on site. Fewer changes during execution, fewer corrections after installation.

Predictable investment

A single partner and a single point of responsibility mean fewer costly surprises at the transitions between phases. Project costs are transparent from the outset, not just after the first on-site complication.

Accelerated execution

Prefabrication in our own facilities and parallel workflows between phases shorten overall project timelines. Less work on site, shorter shutdowns.

Safety

Execution in regulated, cleanroom, and hazardous (Ex) environments with our own highly trained crews. Strict discipline and traceability at every step.
