Opening of Slovenia’s First Public Hydrogen Refuelling Station

We are proud to have taken part in building Slovenia’s first public hydrogen refuelling station, officially opened on 10 February 2026 in Ljubljana as part of the alternative fuels refuelling park at the P+R Stanežiče site.

Public hydrogen refuelling station in Ljubljana, P+R Stanežiče

The project, led by Energetika Ljubljana, is one of the key infrastructure steps towards decarbonising transport and developing sustainable mobility in Slovenia.

We carried out the mechanical installation works and complex piping connections, with a particular focus on high-pressure hydrogen piping operating at pressures of up to 1,000 bar. This is one of the most technically demanding segments of modern energy infrastructure, requiring exceptional precision, flawless execution and the highest safety standards.

Installation was completed in summer 2025. The project was delivered in cooperation with Messer d.o.o., which contributed to the supply and the process technology of the system.

The new station refuels hydrogen-powered buses, trucks and passenger cars, and marks an important milestone in introducing hydrogen into Slovenia’s transport system as an energy carrier of the future.

For IMP Promont, the project is an important step in our strategic commitment to sustainable development. With our expertise and experience, we actively contribute to low-carbon solutions and to a better future for people and the environment.

Our sincere thanks go to all our colleagues whose expertise, dedication and sense of responsibility made this achievement possible.
